Our Mission The
Scottish Legend
of Robert The Bruce,
King of Scotland,
inspired our initiative. This
man fought and died for the independence of Scotland during the 14th Century. The
legend states whilst
in the cave and
at the depths of
despair, Robert
The Bruce happened
to watch a spider
attempting to build
a web - the spider
would spin then
fall, get up and
spin again and again
relentlessly until
it eventually made
the web. From that
Robert The Bruce motivated a nation to fight for its freedom against overwhelming odds. Not once, not twice, but several times in fact. Creating
the saying “if at first you do not succeed try, try, and try again.”
From
this inspiration
we decided to encourage
individuals to persevere
our Scottish heritage
through our own
local web. Hence
in 1996 our Scottish
Web was created.
Our goal was to
give back to our
local community
and empower others,
like Robert The
Bruce empowered
our fore fathers.
We
are now harnessing
the power of the
web to provide opportunities
for Scottish people
to help others achieve
greatness. Nothing
succeeds like success!
“SCOTTISHWEB.COM - Taking the time to give back to others.”
